OLdance: Basics of Belly Dancing

What is OLdance and who is it for?

OLdance is a beginner-friendly belly dance video course designed to help you reconnect with your body, build foundational dance skills, and express yourself with joy and confidence. It's perfect for anyone looking to explore belly dancing from home — no prior experience needed!

What will I learn in the OLdance course?

You’ll learn essential belly dance techniques including hip movements, chest isolations, shimmies, arm coordination, and body waves. The course also guides you through rhythms, building your dance vocabulary, and ends with a full choreography that helps you express yourself with confidence and joy.

How is the course structured and how long is it?

The course includes five progressive video lessons, starting with a warm-up and introduction, followed by technique training, flow practice, and choreography. Each lesson ranges from 15 to 40 minutes, and by the end, you’ll be able to perform a full 2.5-minute routine.

Do I need any special equipment or experience to join?

No special equipment or experience is required. All you need is a comfortable outfit, a bit of space to move, and the willingness to dance. It’s completely beginner-friendly and designed to be accessible to everyone.

Can I share my progress or final performance?

Yes! Once you complete the course, you’re encouraged to film your performance and share it on Instagram by tagging @olga.bellydance. It’s a great way to celebrate your progress, and you might even get featured.
